Hello and Welcome to Richmond and Leyburn Creative Stitchers.

We are glad that you have found our blog and hope that you will return to it to see what is happening with our group. We are a friendly bunch of people who meet twice a month at Harmby Village Hall, near Leyburn, to stitch and enjoy each other’s company and we would be delighted to have you join us if you are in the area.

Our usual meeting days are the first and third Thursdays of the month, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The first Thursday is simply stitching, knitting or do your own thing, and on the third Thursday we usually have a speaker from 1.30 p.m. We also organise workshops from time to time. Visitors are very welcome at all our meetings. If you want to stay for the full day you will need to bring a packed lunch but we provide tea and coffee. All abilities are welcome and many of us had very little stitching experience before we joined the group. Our more experienced members are always happy to share their knowledge and we are all delighted to learn new things!!

We are an independent stitch group affiliated to the Embroiderers’ Guild.

Occasionally our meeting dates do not follow the regular pattern, so if you are thinking of dropping in, would like more information or to chat to someone about Richmond and Leyburn Creative Stitchers, please email the Chairperson at: chair1rlcs@gmail.com

  1. Hello, I visited Harlow Carr Gardens last week and was amazed at the beautiful needlework your group achieved depicting views of the gardens throughout the seasons. I only wish I lived a little closer to Leyburn so that I could join your very talented group.
    Kind regards

    1. Hello Bobbie, thank you for your comments. Our group have really enjoyed stitching the panels for RHS Harlow Carr and we are very pleased that others enjoy viewing them and all the better if we inspire others to stitch. Happy stitching, Jackie.
